Howard Geter

Mr. Howard Geter age 74, was born on December 28, 1940 to the late Ivery Geter and Addie Choate Geter in Cleveland County, North Carolina. He departed this life on Thursday, October, 8, 2015 at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte, North Carolina. 

Howard accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Waco, North Carolina. Howard rededicated his life back to Christ, where he continued to worship Christ at  Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Howard received his education from Washington High School, Waco, NC. He was employed with Beam Construction and Keystone Powder Metal of  Cherryville, NC for several years. Howard was known as a faithful helper by his family and community for many years and was loved dearly by his family and community.                                                                     

In addition to his father, Howard was preceded in death by two brothers, Ivery Geter Jr. and Sherman Geter; a brother-in-law, Jimmy  Robertson and a great-granddaughter, Karmin Chisley.                                                                             
Howard leaves to treasure fond memories in our hearts, his mother, Mrs. Addie Choate Geter of Waco, NC; three sons, Daryl Geter, Sr. (Linda) of Grover, SC, Randy Brown, Sr. (Blondie) of Waco, NC and Danny Kee, Sr. of Springfield, MA; two brothers, Thurman Geter, Sr. (Larlee), Nathan Geter, Sr. (Linda) of Waco, NC; four sisters, Diane Geter-Rice (John) of Lincolnton, NC, Shirley Geter, Ruby Geter and Gnelsie Geter-Robertson, all of Waco, NC; eight grandchildren, Sinetra, Daryl Jr., Randy Jr., LaDonna, Brandon, Demorrio, Travis and Danny Jr.; seven great-grandchildren, Kamrin, Bryson, Demorrio Jr., Tzipporah, Avah and Elijah and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
 
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 12, 2015, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will take place at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will be meeting at the home of a relative, 1635 Stoney Point Rd., Shelby
