Thomas Jefferson Stroud

Thomas Jefferson Stroud, 73, was born on August 15, 1942 in Cleveland County to the late Iverson and Lena Stroud. Thomas worked at Jenkins for many years and was a security guard at Kemet in Shelby, NC. Thomas peacefully transitioned on December 21, 2015 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.

Thomas was preceded in death by his mother, Lena Elder Stroud, his father, Iverson Stroud, his son Dwight Stroud Sr. and daughter Ella McClain; 3 sisters, Annie “Nan” Benton, Conolia ”Nick” Shivers and Willie Mae Boykins; 5 brothers, Robert “ Bill” Stroud, Charlie “Ursh” Stroud, John Wesley “Jake” Stroud, Iverson “Foots” Stroud Jr. and Herbert “Hub” Stroud.

Thomas was the baby boy of 13 children and leaves to cherish fond memories to his first wife, Ella Mae Stroud, his two daughters, Jeanie Robinson (Terry), Sherry Stroud (Anthony). Four sons; Marvin Stroud (Mattie), Carl Russell, Tony Stroud (Patricia), and Brian Russell. Three sisters; Lena (William) Pounds, Alberta Robinson and Hazel (June). Thomas very special Godson; Ricky Cyeers, Jr., 26 Grandchildren and 43 Great-Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will be receiving friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm, Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Palmer Grove Baptist Church

Burial will take place at the church cemetery

The family will be meeting at 1809 Macedonia Church Rd., Kingstown, the home of his son, Marvin Stroud
