Walter Mae Clemons

Gastonia N.C - Ms. Walter Mae Clemons was born on November 24, 1962, to the late
Thelma Hook and the late Walter Clay Myers. On Thursday, July 28,
2022 Monk went to her heavenly mansion at Robin Johnson House GIP. 

She was a faithful member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in South
Carolina until her health failed. She attended Swansea High School in
Swansea, SC She was employed with Claddaugh Home care of Shelby,
NC until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, four brothers,
Frankie hook, Willie B knight, Samuel Lee Knight, and Walter Clay
Myers Jr.: four sisters, Frances K. Seawright, Willie Mae Dixon, Deloris
James, Leathia Mae Turnipseed, and Mary R. Knight.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one daughter, Giovanna
Oliver of Gastonia, NC, one son, Thomas Oliver, Jr. of Gastonia, NC;
father, Willie B. Knight of Avon Park, FL; two granddaughters, Ja’vanna
Phillips of Gastonia, NC and Ti’asia Oliver of Shelby, NC. One grand-
son, Xavier Oliver of Winston-Salem, NC, four sisters, Rev. Dr. Gloria
Walton of NJ, Mary Hook of SC, Vickie Knight of Tampa, Fl and Ava
knight of Avon Park Fl; ve brothers, David Allen Myers of NJ, Tony
Knight of Manhattan, NY, Allen, Demetris and Troy all of Avon Park, FL;
one special Aunt, Josephine Benyard of North, SC, one special
nephew, James Knight of Orangeburg, SC; two special nieces, care -
givers, Melissa Knight of Lexington, SC and Gloria Knight of Shelby,
NC and a best friend, Evelyn Robinson, and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends.
Funeral: Saturday, August 6, 2022 at 2;30pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel; the family will receive friends 30 mins prior to service.
