Vearl Thompson Norris

Kings Mountain: Vearl Thompson Norris, age 88, daughter of the late Clarence and Zenna Hampton Thompson, of 508 Kilgore Rd. Kings Mountain, NC peacefully transitioned on March 1, 2026

at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC. 

The family will be receiving friends at the home of her granddaughter, Tamala Bess of 411 W. Gold Street Kings Mountain, NC on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 and Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 4pm to 8pm.

Funeral : Saturday: March 7, 2026 at 3:30pm at Adams Chapel AME Zion Church; the family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service

Burial: Church Cemetery
