Valerie Deloris Thomas

 Union - A beautiful and loving life came to close on Sunday evening, September 19, 2021 at 5:20 PM at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Spartanburg SC when our beloved one, Ms. Valerie Deloris Thomas of 1208 W. Main St. Union, SC answered the Master’s call and left with an angel of God to live in his heavenly home.

Valerie was converted accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and joined Green Bethel Baptist Church at an early age. She was a graduate of Gaffney High School class of 1984.

Valerie loved her family, friends and people in general. Her genuine smile and love for fashion was like a burst of sunshine. She had a strong will to live life and always encouraged others to believe.

She was preceded in death by her mother Darlene Huskey Thomas, a son; James Brandon Thomas, a nephew; Roberto Marquis Porter, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.

She leaves to cherish fond and loving memories: her father Mr. James William Thomas of Spartanburg, SC, two daughters; Ms. Shakima Thomas and Mrs. Brittany Oliver (Lamond) of Spartanburg, SC, three sisters; Angela Hamilton, Kimberly Graham and Sabrina Thomas Porter (Roberto) all of Spartanburg, SC, five grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and a close friend of the home Mr. Felix Arritola.

A releasing of the balloons ceremony will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 26,2021 at Green Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
