Tyrone Grier

Kings Mountain - Tyrone (T-Bone) Grier, was born on March 17, 1966 to Lathaniel Grier and Diane Bell Grier. Tyrone received his formal education at Kings Mountain High School, Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He accepted Christ as his savior at an early age. Tyrone was employed by Kentucky Fried Chicken in Shelby, North Carolina as a cook for several months. In his leisure, he enjoyed playing basketball, fast cars., and detailing cars. Tyrone D. Grier departed this life on Friday, January 3, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father, Lathaniel Grier; brother, Michael Grier; maternal grandparents, Isaiah and Bessie Bell; paternal grandfather, James Grier, and paternal grandmother, Margaret Wilson. Left to cherish fond memories, his partner, Chalita Epps, his children, Eli Wilson of Lake Wylie, SC. Trakus Grier (partner, Lindsay Davis) of Gastonia, NC, Joshua and Natasha Jackson of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren Gianna Wilson. Rhealyn Grier, McKenzie Davis, Kasie Lipscomb, Caydence Squire, and NyAsia Jackson; his mother, Dianne Grier of Gastonia, NC; sister, LaVonda Grier-Mason( husband, Maurice Mason) of Gastonia, NC; nieces, Brianna Mason, Deja’ Mackins, Angel Mackins, Monica Mackins; sisters-in-law, Crystal Grier, Neveah Brooks; nephews, Donte’ Washington, Xavier Mason, Kingston Connor and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 11am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church; the family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service
