Shelby - Stanley Lee Spike, 49, was born January 6, 1972 to the late Willie Lee and Aileen Spike. Stanley worked for Central Furniture in Hickory, North Carolina for 20 years before his illness. . . On Saturday, October 23, 2021, Stanley peacefully transitioned at his residence. In addition to his parents, Stanley is preceded in death by his siblings, Gregory Spikes, Dorothy Spikes, June Spikes; grandparents, Haywood and Eunice Thompson and Howard and Bertha Spikes; two uncles, Bobby Thompson, June Thompson; and a cousin, Randy Thompson. Stanley leaves to cherish fond memories: his sons, Marquis Cherry, Kyree Jackson; two daughters, Khadijah, and Alex Spikes; nine grandchildren, siblings, Ralph Spikes, Ralph Cobb, Clarence Spikes; aunts, Ella Thompson, Stella Thompson; one special aunt, Lois Surratt, uncles, Norris Thompson, Charles Marble, a special friend, Patrick Byrd, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral: Friday, October 29, 2021 at 12:30pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Chapel . The family will receive friends 30 mins prior to service.
