Sharon Vernette (Martin) Clark

San Diego:  Sharon Vernette Martin Clark was born May 23, 1956 to the late Lloyd Edward Martin Jr. and Verdell Chineta Boyd Martin.  Sharon was a woman who walked by faith. In 1985, she and Victor picked up and moved to San Diego, Ca where she raised her three girls. Sharon later decided to be a caregiver for the sick and the elderly. Sharon was a caring, loveable and outspoken individual. If anyone knew her they knew that she loved God, her kids, and her family, and just in that order! She had the biggest heart in the universe. It seemed that Sharon's heart was liquid starlight and she shined just as bright. Sharon was a strong and independent woman that would always smile and do for others even through her own pain. Sharon departed from this life August, 8 2021 having fulfilled a faithful and fruitful life. 

Sharon was preceded in death by her mother- Verdell Chineta Martin - her father Lloyd Edward Martin Sr. - her maternal grandparents - Cleo Patria Huddleston Ross, Joshua Felter Boyd, - step-grandfather Edward (Kitty) Ross - her aunt Hiawatha (Tot) Maddox - her paternal grandparents - Mathie P. Woods Martin and Lloyd Edward Martin  and one nephew Charles Quincy Edward Martin.

 Sharon is survived by her husband Victor Andra Clark of San Diego, Ca. Sharon is survived by her three daughters, Cristin Chiconda Hall (Carlos) of San Diego, CA - Victoria Lynette Johnson (Kenneth) of Chicago, IL - Dimetrous Diane Clark (David) of San Diego, Ca. Sharon is survived by her godson Ahmad Shaakir Thomas (Shacy) of Arizona - as well as her chosen children Dontae Ralston Sr. (Candalita) and Stantanette Clayton.

Sharon is survived by her siblings-  her twin, Karen Bell (Irvin) of Kings Mountain, NC - Patria Katrina Wicks , Kings Mountain, NC - Vonya Toms (Dwight) of Dallas, TX-  Sherona Martin Hamrick (Walter aka Tick) of Shelby N.C. , Lloyd Edward Martin Jr of San Francisco, CA, and Bonus brother, Tommy Lee Heart of St. Louis, Missouri.

Sharon is also survived by all Nana's babies- Reonniea Hall, Christiana Hall, Aviana Hall, Miracle Haines, Destinee Millro, Kamren Johnson ,Nathaniel Johnson , Kimani Johnson,  Kendall Johnson, Kenneth Johnson III.  Messiah Thomas, Mercy Thomas, Dontae Ralston Jr. and Devion Ralston.

Sharon is survived by her 11 nieces and four nephews.

Sharon is survived by a host of other relatives and friends that she walked through her beautiful life with. 

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley , Jr. Memorial Chapel from 11am-12:30pm
