Shaolin Rochon Nelson

Miss Shaolin Rochon Nelson departed this life on Friday August 5, 2022 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. She was born on January 16, 1997 to Marlene Nelson Montes and Jarrick Homesley. She graduated from Crest High School with the C/O 2015. She attended Johnson C. Smith University ,UNCC and CPCC.  She was employed by Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. 
Shaolin loved to travel with her brother Tyson. She enjoyed working out and spending quality time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather's Otis "Big O" Nelson and Ronald "Charlie Brown" Davenport and aunt Shamika Black. She has left beloved memories of her her Mother Marlene Nelson Montes, Step father Roberto Montes and Father Jarrick Homesley. Grandmothers  Mattie Nelson (Otis), Janice Barber and her special Papa Bear Andrew Barber. Brothers Tyson Nelson and Joel Montes.  A sister Jamya Marion. A very special cousin Mariah Nelson. Mariahs two children Ky’Mani Hosch and A’riah Nelson. Uncles Michael Nelson (Radsheeda) and Dwayne Nelson. Cousins Malek Nelson,Kaleb Nelson and Kalis Nelson and a host of family and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her mother, Marlene Nelson 303 Cedarwood Drive, Shelby, NC.

Memorial Service: Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Hanna Park from 4pm til 8pm
