Shelby - Shamira Nadiya Colon, age 24, peacefully transitioned this life on Friday, December 14, 2018 at Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte, NC. Shamira was born August 21, 1994 to Angelo David Colon and Belinda D. Carson.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Bernice Carson Wright, paternal grandfathers, Candido Colon and Joseph Rice; a brother, Jashawn Colon; uncles, Terrance Carson and Richard Carson.

Left to cherish loving and fond memories, in addition to her parents, her sisters, Danielle S. Carson of Forest City, NC, Davina C. Colon of Shelby, NC, Nadira Colon of Atlantic City, NJ; her brother, David A. Colon, Jr., Shamar A. Carson, Joseph J. Carson; grandfather, Thomas Tolbert of Georgia; aunts, Brenda D. Carson, Jolinda Carson, Miriam Colon, Tequilla Tolbert, Tanisha Tolbert, Brittany Tolbert; uncles, Randolph Carson, Tyrone Carson, Eleazar Tolbert; a special cousin, Scharnia Carson and other loving cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 3 P.M. at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel at 407 E. Grover Street in The Otis Mobley Jr. Memorial Chapel . The Family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
