Michael Anthony Grier

Kings Mountain -Michael Anthony Grier, age 53, was born March 23, 1967. He was called to his eternal resting place on May 4, 2020 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain, North Carolina. He was the son of Dianne Bell Grier and the late Lathaniel Grier. Michael was a 1985 graduate of Kings Mountain Senior High School. He was employed with Sears for several years and Cheyenne International, LLC of Grover, North Carolina. In 2011, he was employed by Daimler Trucks of NA, Mount Holly, North Carolina where he was a loyal employee until his body became consumed with pain. Michael was a true family man and friend to all. He was an all around loving person. Michael never met a stranger. Every time he was introducing you to someone, they were always his cousin. Michael considered himself a Chef when it came to cooking, grilling and frying fish. He was always called on to fry up some fish for someone all the time. Michael is preceded in death by his father; Lathaniel Grier, a sister; Sharon Grier, maternal grandparents; Isaiah Bell and Bessie Bell, paternal grandparents; James Grier and Margaret Wilson. Michael is survived by his wife: Kristal Jordan Grier, one daughter; Daja Mackins of Gastonia, North Carolina, two sons; Rashaun Jordan of the home and Marquis Hush of Lawndale, North Carolina, his mother; Dianne Bell Grier, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina; one sister; LaVonda Grier Mason (Maurice) of Gastonia, North Carolina, one brother; Tyrone Grier of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Public Visitation: Friday, May 8, 2020 at Genesis Funeral Services ( 407 E. Grover Street ,Shelby, NC) from 4pm til 7pm

Funeral: Saturday, May 9, 2020 at 11am at Mt. Olive Baptist Church

Burial: Mountain Rest Cemetery
