Michael Burton

Charlotte - .Mr. Michael Burton of 315 Lima Avenue in Charlotte, NC transitioned from this earthly life on Friday December 25, 2020 at Scotland Memorial Hospital, in Laurinburg, NC.  

He was born on March 17, 1956 in Mecklenburg County to the late Herman Odell Burton, Sr. and Parthenia Heath Burton.

Michael was raised in Davidson/Cornelius, NC and was a long-time resident of Charlotte, NC. He attended North Mecklenburg High School in Huntersville, NC and was formerly employed by Duke Energy. Michael was last employed as a painting contractor.

Michael was full of life and had a smile on his face that would light up any room.  Michael loved his family and friends – but most of all he loved God.

Michael was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jettie Heath and Verdie Anderson Heath; paternal grandparents, Loula Burton and Roy Alexander; his parents, Parthenia Heath Burton and Herman Odell Burton, Sr.; two brothers, Herman Odell Burton, Jr. and Clarence Burton; and by one sister, Flora Burton Miller.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, one sister, Audrey Burton of Charlotte, NC; three brothers, Charles Burton, James Burton and Daniel Burton, all of Charlotte, NC; a special friend, Elois Black; special sisters, Beverly Foster and Etta "Mick" Moore; sister-in-law, Gail Burton of Mooresville, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
