Gaffney - Melissa Jane Palmer Fernanders, age 47, known as Tank to her family and friends was born August 3,1973. She was the daughter of Mr. Charles Palmer Sr. and Geneva Palmer of Gaffney, SC.
Our dearest daughter, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend answered the Master’s call on Sunday, January 3, 202 at her residence in Gaffney. Melissa was employed by Angelic Service and Brown Packing. Melissa never met a stranger and always made everyone smile.
She was a caring woman of Christian Faith where she attended Philadelphia Baptist Church. She was a woman who did what she could to provide for her family and support her friends. She was definitely loved and will be missed by many.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Infant Shazari Kareem Davidson.
In addition to her parents, she leaves to cherish fond memories, two sons; Laquan Palmer and Marquell Palmer both of Gaffney, SC., one daughter; Shakiyla Davidson (Shane), Sr. of Gaffney, SC., one brother; Charles Palmer Jr. (Jennifer) of Gaffney, SC, five grand boys, six grand girls, one niece, three nephews, father and mother-in-law, Punzel and Jane Fernanders, friend; Treva Tate, and a host of other relatives and friends.
