Gaffney – Matthew Jefferies age 69 of 605 Beech Street, Gaffney, SC., transitioned from this life on Thursday, March 17 ,2022 at Spartanburg Medical Center. He was the son of the late Fleetwood Jefferies Sr. and Lillie Ruth Jefferies. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers; Fleetwood Eugene Jefferies Jr. and Jessie Browning Jr., a sister; Mary Francis Browning.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, six daughters; Tiffaine Roders, Trinity Jefferies, Tysha Jefferies, Shanita Dowdle, Sharicka Hoey (Kelly), Lillie Ruth Jefferies. Four sons; Matthew Rogers, Michael Hoey, Anthny Hoey, Matthew Jefferies Jr. two brothers; John Daniel Jefferies (Faye), Terry Lee Jefferies, one sister; Teresa McDowell, thirty-three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Saturday, March 26,2022 at 3:00 pm at Shalom Christian Fellowship with Rev. Stanley Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
The family is receiving friends at the residence.
