Mary (Davis) Fernanders

Gaffney -  Mary Louise Davis Fernanders age 93 of 107 Moss Street Gaffney, SC., transitioned from this life on Sunday, April 18, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Ebb Davis and Bessie Linder Davis.

She became a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church and served faithfully where she was a member of the missionary and Sunday School until she became ill. In 2012, she started attending Glory to Glory Christian Church where her daughter and son-in-law are the pastors, she continued to remained faithfully, she loved God and people’s and was a giver, her hobbies were baking cakes. Thanks to all who assisted with her care.

 She was preceded in death by one brother, George Davis, six sisters, Clara Posey, Christine Reaves, Amogene Byers, Alice Davis, Ezera Thompson, Rebecca Davis.

She leaves to cherish fond memories, a daughter, Co-Pastor Mary H. Shippy (Pastor Charles E. Sr.), one grandson, Charles E. Shippy Jr “CJ”., one brother, Lewis Davis, two sisters, Parnice Jefferies (James), Burdee Garnett (Samuel), two sister-in-laws, Peggy Davis, Betty Davis, two brother-in-laws, Henry Reaves, James Thompson, two God-Children she helps raised, Barbara Jeter, Harold Davis and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family is receiving friends at the home of her daughter, Mary Shippy, 122 Holly Hill Drive Gaffney, SC.
