Kings Mountain - Mary Premier Brown Crawford (Prema) was born January 2, 1946 to the late William Robert and Lula Mae Bryant Brown. She departed this earthly house for her heavenly home Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Prema was the eleventh of thirteen children. She was born and raised in Kings Mountain where she graduated from Compact High School in 1965. She was a very faithful and dedicated member of Bynum Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church. Prema served on the Usher and Missionary Board for many years. Prema was a warm and compassionate woman with a terrific sense of humor. Prema loved to cook. She enjoyed making her famous strawberry pie and sweet tea for her family and friends. Prema loved her family and always enjoyed hosting family gatherings. For those who were fortunate enough to know her, she is already missed.
She was preceded in death by parents William Robert and Lula Mae Bryant Brown, four brothers Paul Brown, Miles Brown, WR Brown, Eugene Brown, three sisters Firma Lee Brown, Maxine Simmons, Madge Brown and niece Latrice Brooks.
She is survived by her loving husband Curtis Crawford of Kings Mountain for 41 years, one son; Rodney Brown (Shantanette) of Kings Mountain, one stepdaughter; Erika Riddle of Greenville, SC, bonus daughter; Tanya Brown Mitchell of Kings Mountain, NC, three sisters; Katherine Brown Duncan (Melvin) of Grover, NC, Christine Brown Davis of Passaic, NJ, Jessie Brown Hunter (Wendell) of Temple Hills, Maryland, two brothers; her twin, Andrew Brown (Flora) of Kings Mountain, NC, Craig Brown (Jackie) of Grover, NC, special sister; Carlena Brown, three sisters-in-law; Arlene Sutton of Virginia, France Helen Tate of Gastonia, NC, Nina Tate, of Charlotte, NC, two brothers-in-law; George Crawford of Charlotte, NC, Chris Curry (Carla) of Kings Mountain, NC.

Public Viewing: Tuesday, December 29, 2020 from 4pm-6pm at Genesis Chapel of Kings Mountain ( located beside The Family Worship Center Church of GOD) Everyone are required to wear a mask upon entrance into the chapel.
Funeral: Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 2pm at Peoples Church in Kings Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial: Mountain Rest Cemetery
The family will meet at the home of her son 805 Bethlehem Rd. Kings Mountain NC.
