The Obituary

Lizzie Mae Kee Gaston, 85, peacefully transitioned from her earthly home on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Tad Humphries and the late Amiee Key.Lizzie loved bowling, word find puzzles, and playing bingo on her iPad. After retiring from Kemet Electronics, she found a love of waitressing at Ryan’s Steakhouse where she enjoyed meeting people and making new friends.  She always had a smile on her face and joy in her heart.

Lizzie preceded in death by first husband: Willie Bro Phelps, mother; Amiee Key, father; Tad Humphries, two sisters; Grace Kee and Miller Kee Ussery, three Brothers; Willie Kee, Bobby Joe Kee, and Tom Kee.

She is survived by her husband: Willie Joe Gaston, one sister; Lillian Wright two brothers; Dave Kee and Robert Kee of Eatonton, GA,  five children; Roger Phelps and wife Frances of Eatonton, GA, Willie “Bud” Phelps and wife Shirley of Cibolo, TX,  Juanita Phelps of the home, Linda Watkins and husband Scottie of Lawndale, NC, Kenneth Phelps of Johnson City, TN, 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
