Mrs. Joel Maddox Jackson
On August 29, 1942, in Shelby, North Carolina Mrs. Joel Maddox Jackson was born to the late Joe Maddox, Sr. and Ms. Lessie Beasley Maddox. She peacefully transitioned from her temporary earthly home of 80 years to her everlasting heavenly home on October 5, 2022, while at Wendover Hospice Of Shelby.
During her time here on earth, after graduating in 1959 from Camp High School, Mrs. Jackson moved to New York where she worked for several years. She later relocated to Shelby where she worked at Kemet Electronics as a Quality Control Inspector from 1980 until she retired in 1999. She returned to work
in Home Healthcare until her own health declined.

Mrs. Jackson was one of the charter members of Canaan Memorial Baptist Church. Her ministry service over the years included serving as the church treasurer and member of the Pastor’s Aide ministry. She was a faithful and dedicated member and will be truly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Reverend Robert Jackson; her older sister, Joyce Thompson and three younger sisters, Joan Maddox, Lillian McCluney and Mary Louise Fowler.
 

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Gregory K. Harris of Shelby, NC; two stepchildren, Nicole Ross (Chad) of Shelby and Gautrell (Teri) Jackson of Greenville, NC; two brothers, Joe (Louise) Maddox, Jr. of Shelby, NC and Louis Maddox of Los Angles, California; =ve grandchildren, Justice Pennywell, Chad Ross, Matthew Jackson, Joshua Jackson and Gabriel Jackson; and a host of nieces and nephews Mrs. Joel Maddox Jackson On August 29, 1942, in Shelby, North Carolina Mrs. Joel Maddox Jackson was born to the late Joe Maddox, Sr. and Ms. Lessie Beasley Maddox. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at 3:30 P.M. at Caanan Baptist Church. Vistation 30 minutes prior to service.Burial: Sunset Cemetery.
