Jane Sandra Ford

Shelby- Jane Sandra Ford, 62, Shelby, NC departed this life on Thursday, May 29, 2020 at Carolinas Medical Center, Main in Charlotte, NC. She was born on April 4, 1958
in Cherokee County, SC to the late Leonard Ford Sr. and the late Dorothy Lee Peeler Ford.

Sandra attended Crest High School and early education was at Camp High School. She joined First Baptist Church of Earl at an early age. Sandra worked as a Childcare Specialist for over 20 years.

She was preceded in death by parents Leonard Ford Sr. and Dorothy Lee Peeler Ford, grandparents who raised her, James “Jim’ and Irene Dawkins Ford and Rosa Lee Gregory Reese and William Reese Sr.

Those who remain to cherish her loving memories include her son, Tyron S. Ford of Shelby; three sisters, Carrie F. Smith (Jerome) of Shelby, Rosie Jean Ford Zachary of New York, and Wanda Feaster of Grover; one brother, Leonard Junior Ford (Rose) of Shelby; two special aunts, Dorothy Ford Mitchell and Lillie Gaffney Ford of Shelby; one uncle, William Reese Jr. of Gaffney, SC.; nieces, Sonja Glover of Shelby and Jasey Feaster of Grover; nephews, Todd (Victoria),Shacarr, Samuel McIntosh of Shelby, Denzel and Devin Zachary of New Jersey
and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Graveside Service: Thursday, June 4, 2020 at 11am at Cleveland Memorial Park. Visitation 10:30am- 11am

The family will receive friends at the home of her sister Carrie Smith, 208 Claytenna Rd Shelby, NC on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 from 2pm -5pm. For the safety of  everyone, the family kindly ask that you honor their visitation hours and please limit your stay to 10-15 mins and please wear a mask . Due to Federal and State mandates and recommendations, capacity will be limited to protect our families and community.
