James Getty Foster

Gaffney - James G. Foster, a resident of 2625 Union Highway, Gaffney, SC  peacefully passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. He was born on July 13, 1946 in Gaffney, SC. James loved to go fishing and hunting.

James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Altamease Patterson Foster, a son, Vernard Foster,  his parents, Alfonso “Dink” Foster and Alice Hamilton Foster, a sister, Helen M.L. Foster Robinson, and a brother, Samuel Gaston.

Left to cherish fond memories, a son; Kerry Foster (Marlene) of Morganton, NC., three sisters, Janie Foster of Gastonia, NC, Luvenia Foster of the home and Sarah Foster Jefferies of Gastonia, NC., six grandchildren, a host of step grandchildren, step great grandchildren

 and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Special recognition to Nephew Edward C. Littlejohn, Jr. of the home.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 2:00 p.m. at the Genesis Funeral Service and Chapel in Gaffney, officiated by Minister Mrs. S. Nichole Twitty of Rutherfordton County, NC.
