James Edward Dawkins

Gaffney – Deacon James Edward “Joe” Dawkins age 81 of 119 Lincoln Drive, Gaffney, SC., transitioned from this life on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at SMC Mary Black Campus. He was the son of Lillie Mae Dawkins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce R. Dawkins, son, James L. Dawkins, grandmother, Sarah C. Dawkins, brother-in-laws, Roy D. Rainey, James W. Rainey, Wardell Rainey, sister-in-laws, Virginia Bishop, Evelyn Martin, Miriam A. Battle.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his mother, Lillie Mae Dawkins, two daughters, Carla Dawkins, Josette Smith both of Gaffney, SC., one son, Brien Dawkins (Kathy) of Gaffney, SC., one sister, Sarah L. Dawkins of Richmond, VA.,

 Three grandchildren, Bradley Sarratt (Jessica) of Cocoa Beach, Florida, Jessica Dawkins of Greenville, SC., Kelvin L. Dawkins,

Six great-grandchildren, Alana, Ava, Carlos, Journee, Calvin, Kelvin Jr., and a host of other relatives and friends.
