Kings Mountain- Gwendolyn Crocker age 71 of 202 Cooke Circle Kings Mountain peacefully transformed from this life on Monday December 16, 2019 at White Oak Manor Kings Mountain NC;
Gwendolyn(Jean) Crocker was born on June 3, 1948 in Grover NC to the late Joe and Geneva Jimson. She departed this life December 16, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband LA Crocker, her son Darell Crocker, grandson Antonio Crocker, (2) brothers Joe Jimson Jr, and Ray Blair (2) sisters Josephine Marable and Ella Mae Leach.
She joined Long Branch First Baptist Church at an early age and then moved to New Haven, Connecticut for eleven years. After returning to Kings Mountain, NC she rejoined Long Branch First Baptist Church. She loved to sing. She was a member of the Senior Choir. She loved attending the North and South Carolina Singing Convention. She retired from Advance Auto.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her son Larry Crocker Kings Mountain, NC and daughter Laura Crocker Smith of Rock Hill, SC; one (1) brother Samuel (Pete) Jimson (Clara); five (5) grandchildren John Smith, Whitney Smith, Tiffany Thomasson, Darell Hobbs and Wesley Smith; Six (6) brother-in-laws, Robert Marable, Roosevelt Crocker, Carl Crocker, Michael Crocker, Ricky Crocker, and Scotty Crocker; seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday December 23, 2019 at 4:00 pm visitation 3:00 pm at Long Branch Baptist church.
