Gladys Chambers

Shelby  - Gladys Shade Chambers was born December 17^th 1942 in Shelby, North Carolina. Gladys gained her wings on August 27^th 2022.

Gladys was a graduate of Douglas High School, Lawndale, North Carolina.  Thereafter, she worked for Atrium Health, Shelby, North Carolina until she retired.  Miss Gladys enjoyed going to church, gardening, shopping at Walmart and catering to her two great-grandchildren, whom she loved with all her heart.  

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Fitzgerald Shade and Ted Norris, Jr.; and daughter, Sonjia Shade-Rankin. 

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories: her son-in-law, Kenneth Rankin of Shelby, North Carolina, two granddaughters, Kenzonia and Katrinka Rankin of Shelby, North Carolina; two grandchildren,  Matthias Norris and Journey Chambers of Shelby, North Carolina; two sisters, Evangeline Jones of Lawndale, North Carolina, Dorothy Black of Shelby, North Carolina, a host other nieces, and nephews.  A few special friends, Mae Hayes, Bernard James, and Linda Howard

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2022 at Faith Harvest Church at 1:30 P.M. visitation 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial Sunset cemetery.
