Gary Sims

Gaffney – Gary Sims age 64 of 300 Martin Luther King Jr. Street, Gaffney, SC., transitioned from this life on Monday, March 1, 2021 at his residence. He was the son of the late Carl Lee Sims and Betty Jo Stevenson Sims.

He was also preceded in death by a son, Jermaine Jefferies Sr., his grandmothers, Ethel Stevenson and Nannie Mae Tracy, his sisters; Cathy Sims and JoAnn Hughes.

He leaves to cherish fond memories, his wife, Renee J. Sims, two sons, Gary (Koryn) Jefferies, Damien Jefferies-Allen. Three daughters, Charmaine Jefferies, Cassie Jefferies, Hope Jefferies.

Nine grandchildren; Kaelin, Jermaine Jr., Derico, Issiah, Xavion, Delaney, Jaden, Aria, and Azia. one great-grand; Nyla. God daughters; Charlina Martinez (John) and Brittany Jefferies. Three sisters and one brother. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, March 7,2021 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with Rev. C.A. Wallace officiating. The body will lie in repose at 2:00 pm, interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Public viewing will be Saturday from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

The family is receiving friends at the residence.
