Gary Lee Sanders

Shelby  -  ​​Mr. Gary Lee Sanders departed this life on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Atrium Health-Cleveland. He was born on August 18, 1959 to the late Bobby L. Sanders, Sr. and Ruby S. Sanders. Gary “Chug” Sanders was a beloved father, brother, uncle, and cousin to his family. He worked in the Industrial Industry for several years. Gary was a quiet private person who was humble and stayed to himself. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Sanders, Jr.; sisters, Norma J. Sanders and Patricia A. Logan. Left to cherish his memories are is son, Christopher Cooke, one sister, Carolyn Bess of Kings Mountain, NC; his brother, Daryl K. Sanders of Hudson, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends
