Shelby - Freddy Lee Hush, known to many as “Billy, 67, made his transi!on from the residence of Peak Resources on August 7th, 2023.
He was born on January 13, 1956, to Fred Hush and Ha/e Ruth Bishop, who preceded him in death. Freddy was the eldest of eleven children. For most of his life, he lived in Shelby, NC,
with Rebecca Duncan and his cousins, who loved him dearly and helped watch out for him. Freddy graduated from Burns High School and worked for Jack Morgan’s Recycling Company.
He was a strong and hard worker. He enjoyed spending !me with his friends and family and listening to old-school music. He lived his life to the best of his ability, and when !me and
physical setbacks made him !red, God said it was !me for him to rest.
Freddy is survived by six brothers: Willie Hush and Elmer (Emmy)Huch of Lincolnton, NC; Mark Hush of Shelby, NC; David (Felicia) Hush, and Benjamin Hush of Lawndale, NC; Elijah Hush of
Greenville, SC. He is also survived by three sisters: Linda Hunt of Shelby, NC, Sharon Hush of Winston Salem, NC, and Zealina (Marcus) Ikard of Lawndale, NC. Special in his life and heart is
James (Tabatha) Hopper. Also, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many cousins close to him.
We will remember him and always count it a blessing that he was a part of all our lives.
Memorial Service: Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 1pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel
