Shelby - Ernest Lee Proctor Sr. age 60, transitioned on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, NC.
He was born January 10th, 1963 to Estelle Allen and James
Proctor. Ernest attended Garinger High School in Charlotte, NC. He furthered his education at Cleveland Community College in Shelby, NC and Winston-Salem University in Winston-Salem, NC. He enlisted into the United States Army serving from 1982 til 1985. In his leisure, he enjoyed farming and fishing.
He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan. Ernest accepted Christ at
an early age and attended Mike Creek Baptist Church.
He united in marriage with Shirley Ann Wilson in April 19,
1988 in Shelby, North Carolina. To this union they were
blessed with four children. He is preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Proctor; a sister, Janie Allen, and nephew, Robert Allen. Memories are left in the hearts of his children: Francine Jones (Keenan), Ernest Proctor, Jr. (Tamria), Shawntanna Proctor (Ontonio), Stephanie Proctor (Brian), 13 grandchildren; siblings, Kay Proctor, Lynn Proctor, Bobby Proctor, and Gene Proctor; (close nephew, Bucket) a host of nieces, nelhews relatives and friends.
