David Leon Bradshaw

Shelby - David Leon Bradshaw, age 30, departed this life Friday, December 16, 2022. He was born August 21, 1992, in Shelby, North Carolina to Linda and James Bradshaw, Jr. As a 2011 graduate of Kings Mountain High School, David was a member of the football team. His smile was infectious, and he never met a stranger. If he wasn ’t discussing his Denver Broncos, LA Lakers, UNC Tar Heels, or gospel and 90’s music, you could find him lending a helping hand to anyone that ask. His hard work and great attendance could be seen as an employee of Ingles, Hanes Brand, and most recently Walmart Distribution Center. David ’s hobbies included bodybuilding and beating everyone in Madden. He loved his family, friends, and his Warren Street neighbors. Some put limitations on what David could accomplish, but he persevered and achieved many goals. To know him, was to love him. He is preceded in death by maternal grand -parents James and Geraldine Elmore Lawrence and paternal grandparents Thelma Louise Glover Bradshaw and James Aaron Bradshaw, Sr. and Uncle Stanley Elmore. Left to cherish his memories are his parents Linda and James Bradshaw, Jr.; siblings Johnny Bradshaw (Jackie), Thelma Louise Bradshaw, James Bradshaw III (Kim), Michael Bradshaw (LeTonya), Jeremy Bradshaw, Susan Bradshaw, Sarah Johnson (Xavier), and Marian Bradshaw; nephews and nieces, Dominique, Johnny Jr. (whom David jokingly called “Fred”), Raven, Christian, Axel, and Olivia; as well as step -grandmother Louise Danner Bradshaw and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Public Viewing: Wednesday, December 28, 2022 from 4pm to 6pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Funeral: Thursday, December 29, 2022 at 1pm at Palmer Grove Baptist Church.

Burial: Church Cemetery
