Hanes Gaither, age 66 , of Shelby , peacefully transitioned on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Peak Resources Shelby.Funeral: Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at 2pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service.
The Obituary
Mrs. Cynthia “Jean” Hanes Gaither departed this life on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Peak Resource in Shelby, NC. She was born July 7, 1953 to the late Jesse and Ethel Jean Williams Hanes. She was united in marital union to Wallace Gaither.
She was an employee of Hickory White Furniture Company for more than 30 years. She enjoyed shopping, dancing, and spending time with her dog Molly.
In addition to her parents, her grandparents Jesse and Eunice Hanes preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memory are three sisters: Eunice Brown (Richard) of Kings Mountain, NC; Venus Haynes of Detroit, Michigan; and Vetissia Hoey (Royce) of Shelby, NC. One brother, Jammarr Lee Hanes of Detroit, Michigan; one aunt, Gladys Kee (Jimmie) of Cleveland, Ohio; two special nephews Tracy and Carl Gaston of Shelby, NC.; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
