Antonia Lamar Smith

The beautiful and earthly life of our favorite drummer and barber, Mr. Antonia Lamar “Dude” Smith age 48 came to an end on September 25,2020. He was born in Gaffney, South Carolina on April 20,1972 to the late Mr. Otis Robinson Sr. and Mary Ann Palmer Smith Holmes.
Antonia accepted Christ in his life at an early age and always kept the Lord as the head of his life. He loved the Lord and wasn’t ashamed to let it be known. Before his declining health, he was self-employed barber and self-taught drummer for various groups including The Southland Troubadours.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Mr.& Mrs. Tom Palmer.
He leaves to cherish fond memories, his daughter, Ms. DeJhoria Maiya La’Mara Smith, who he affectionately called “Poot”, his sisters, Ms. Yolanda Smith of Charlotte, NC., Ms. Martha Smith of Gaffney, SC., a niece, Ms. Arzolia Guest of Charlotte, NC., a nephew, Mr. Desmond Smith of Gaffney, SC., and a great-nephew, Mr. Amir Guest of Charlotte, NC., stepfather, Mr. Bobby L. Holmes Sr., of York, SC., stepbrother, Mr. Bobby L. Holmes Jr., stepsisters, Tina Bell of Rock Hill, SC., Alisha Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC., uncles, Mr. Charo Watkins, Mr. Willie Palmer, Mr. Charles Palmer, Mr. Tommy Palmer. A friend of many years, Ms. Nioka Stuard of Gaffney, SC., and a host of many other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be Wednesday, October 7,2020 from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Genesis Funeral Cremation Service & Chapel Inc.
