Charlotte - Amari Rashad “Tank” Roseboro, age 11, of 4115 Glenwood Drive, Charlotte, North Carolina transitioned from this life on Friday, December 27, 2019 at Atrium Health CMC Main in Charlotte, North Carolina. Amari was known to many by his nickname “Tank.” He was born May 15, 2008 to Apolonia Snipes and Carlow Roseboro, Sr. in Shelby, North Carolina, Cleveland County. Just a few weeks ago, Tank asked Jesus to come into his life and save his soul. He began to pray often. Amari was a 5th grade student at Westerly Hill Academy in Charlotte, North Carolina. He love to laugh, play jokes on people, wrestling, playing video games, dancing, playing with water and toy guns, helping elderly people, but most of all he loved his family. Amari was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lucia Toms-Roseboro, maternal great-grandfather; William “Bud” Whisnant, John H. Snipes and L. C. Johnson. In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish fond memories; one sister; Amiya Roseboro of the home, two brothers; Carlow Roseboro, Jr., of Lincolnton, North Carolina, Nyzayeh Mungro, his paternal grandfather; Reverend Larry Roseboro of Shelby, North Carolina, maternal grandparents; Chella Kay Whisnant of Shelby, North Carolina and Reuben Snipes of Lawndale, North Carolina, great-grandparents; Annie “Shot” Johnson, Viola Lenair, Frank and Nancy Toms, King and Ellee Roseboro, one aunt; Ebony Whisnant (Noad Dimetros), six uncles; Dontavis Whisnant (Alexis Hopper), LaMarjuan Whisnant, Davaughia Snipes, Carlson Roseboro, Carlton Roseboro, Gene Surratt, Sr. all of Shelby, North Carolina, special great-aunt and uncle; Renee and Roger Ford, godmothers; Renee Dabbs, Rita Whisnant, and a host of other aunts, uncles, cousins, godbrothers, god sisters, relatives and friends.
