Theodore R. Wilson, Sr.
Theodore Roosevelt Wilson, Sr. was born on November 4, 1941, in York County, South Carolina. He departed this life on July 15, 2019 at Testa Family Hospice House, Kings Mountain, North Carolina with his family by his side. He was the son of the late Will and Freedonia Cousar Wilson.
Theodore attended Mt. Zion AME Zion Church at an early age. He worked several years for Bryant Electric Company and Parkdale Mills in Belmont, North Carolina until he retired. He was an Atlanta Braves Fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Freedonia Cousar Wilson, his brothers; Arthur Wilson, Homer Wilson, Morgan Wilson, his sister; Carolinda Wilson Burris, Willie Mae Wilson Burris, granddaughter; Stacy Wilson, and infant grandson Samuel Theodore Wilson.
He leaves behind to cherish: one son; Theodore Wilson, Jr. “Teddy” (Sherry, “China”), of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, three daughters; Diane Wilson, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Sherry H. Holmes (Dana) of Columbia, South Carolina, Freda W. Smith (Kevin), of Gastonia, North Carolina, one sister; Doris W. Hood of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, one sister-in-law; Edith B. Wilson, of Kings Mountain, North Carolina, thirteen grandchildren; Keyah Smith, Crystal Neal, Yoko Hughes, Chris Burris, Tednesha Wilson, Theodore Wilson, III, Tedrick Wilson, Destiny Wilson, Maegan Hunnicutt, Nia Smith, Jazmine Wilson, Bryce Wilson, Serena Wilson, sixteen great-grand children; Tempestt McCleave, Jason Nichols, Jr., Amarion Wilson, Chrishaune Sanders, Khan’ye Kennedy, Kourtnie Kennedy, Kaeleigh Kennedy, Kamarie Burris, Chris (CJ) Burris, Christian Burris, Amasai Kennedy, Arreyon Kennedy, Axavier Kennedy, Trinity Kennedy, Isaiah Wilson, Xynine Wilson, one great-great granddaughter; Raelynn Smith, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, family and friends.
