Pearle Pressley

Kings Mountain - Mrs. Pearle (Momma Pearle) Pressley, 94, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday December 22, 2018 in Williamsburg, Virginia. She is preceded in death by her husband Mr. Cletus D. Pressley and parents William F. and Lydia Gamble Mitchell.  Momma Pearle was a longtime devoted member of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, N.C.

Left to cherish her memories are her son, Johnny C. Dawkins; brother Johnny F. Mitchell; three foster daughters - Mary A. Smith, Synthia Peterson, and Annie Love; three grandchildren - Jonathan Giles, Darlene Dawkins and Sean Dawkins; six great-grandchildren - Nicole Taylor, Maurice Giles, Jonathan Giles, Jr, Amethyst Dawkins, Laken Dawkins, and Sean Dawkins II; and her great-great-granddaughter, Eva Rene Dawkins.  Special friends include:  Mrs. Sarah Adams, Mrs. Anne Davis, Mrs. Ann Griffin, Mrs. Charlotte Pettis, and Mr. Daniel Thombs.  She is also survived by her very devoted friend, Mr. Arthur Nunley, Jr., as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Pearle loved the Lord, her family and friends…in that order.  She was a humble and faithful servant who always put God first in her life.  Pearle was a lifelong student of the bible, active member of the church, and took comfort in her personal walk with Jesus.  Pearle had a kind word for everyone and a beautiful smile that lit up the room where ever she went. 

Funeral services will be held at Mount Zion Baptist Church, 220 N Watterson St, Kings Mountain, NC 28086 on Sunday, December 30, 2018.  Quiet Hour begins at 2:00 PM followed by the Funeral at 3:00 PM.
