Miles Tate

Gaffney - Miles Tate age 86 of 402 East Junior High Rd. Gaffney peacefully transition this life on Saturday September 22, 2018 at Magnolia Manor Spartanburg, SC;

He was the son of the late Gainesville Tate Sr.and Nannie Dawkins Tate. At an early age, he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior, He joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Miles worked for Sunny Slope for 40 plus years, he also worked in Construction. He leaves to cherish fond memories, three sons, Lewis Littlejohn of Gaffney, Conelius Littlejohn (Marie) of Shelby, NC., Terrance McGill (Tishana) of Gaffney SC., two daughters, Shirley Littlejohn of Gaffney, SC., Nancy Kay Bates of Denver Colorado. One sister, Essie Bell Richardson of the home. One brother, Franklin Tate of Cowpens, SC. Three special nieces, Ms. Joyce Pearson, Malika Littlejohn, Genesis Littlejohn. A special Nephew, Robert Jr. Tate of Gaffney, SC., a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 29,2018 in the chapel of Genesis Funeral Cremation Service & Chapel Inc. with Dr. A.L. Brackett, Rev Dr. George Kirby, Minister Annie Littlejohn, Rev. Terry Brannon officiating. There will be a thirty-minute visitation 2:00p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery
