Shelby - Kendall Ross, Jr. was born to the late Kendall Ross, Sr, and Mary Lee Black Ross on November 24, 1939. He peacefully transitioned on June 15, 2018 at Peak Resources at the age of 78.
Kendall was a Minister and pastored over the years, pastoring Good Samaritan Church in Shelby, North Carolina. He was an advent lover of the Gospel music world. He sung with the Five Stars for almost 30 years. Over the years, he continued to sing filling in for various groups. He was employed and retired from Shelby Concrete where he had worked for many years. Kendall was a loving father and uncle, full of life and loved to sit around with his friends and tell jokes.
In addition to his parents, Kendall was preceded in death by his sisters; Lottie Mae Webber, Rosa Lee Ross, Mary Frances Ross, step-daughder; Fannie Jackson, his brothers; George Ross, Marvin Ross, and James Ross.
Kendall leaves to cherish fond memories his daughters; Lula Hooper of Charlotte, North Carolina, Annette Ross of Shelby, North Carolina, Tammie Dawkins of Augusta, Georgia, his son; Ray Jackson of Shelby, North Carolina, his 8 brothers; William Ross (Vinnie), Bobby Ross, Jerry Ross (Paulette), Jimmy Ross (Jeanie), Percy Ross all of Shelby, North Carolina, Cleo Ross (Louise) of Newton, North Carolina, Larry Ross of Cherryville, North Carolina, Steven Ross of Charlotte, North Carolina, his step-sons; Sam Jackson (Pam), Kenneth Jackson (Alma), Thomas Jackson (Denise), his step-daughers; Beverly Bristol (Perry), Kay Jackson, Sadie Pryor, Iris Jackson, 8 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be held Saturday June 23, 2018 at Shiloh Baptist Church at 4;30 P.M. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
