Mr. Jerry Allen, 62, of Shelby, North Carolina peacefully transitioned on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his residence. He was born January 7, 1956 to the late Preston Allen, Sr. and Margaret Shade Allen.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; Preston Allen, Sr., Margaret Sara Lee Allen, his son; Termecho Tonshy Allen, four brothers; Walter “Dub” Allen, James Allen, William Jay Allen, Ernest Bill Hopper, three sisters; Betty Jean Henderson, Elester Shuford, and Margaret Ruth Ross.

Left to cherish fond memories, his son; Jerry Jermaine Allen of Shelby, North Carolina, his daughter; Deborah Denice McClain (Dennis) of Shelby, North Carolina, his sisters; Bessie Mae Allen, Christine Hopper both of Shelby, North Carolina, his brothers; Robert Roberts of Hickory, North Carolina, Clifton Allen, Preston Allen, Jr., Larry Allen, Sam Allen, all of Shelby, North Carolina, 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, special nieces; Dana Allen, Donna Gullatte, and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral: Sunday July 8, 2018 at 3:00pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel (407 East Grover Street Shelby, NC) The family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service.
