Janice Fay Moore

Kings Mountain -

Janice Fay Moore,  age 59,  peacefully transition this life on Thursday July 26, 2018 at Carolinas Healthcare System-Cleveland in Shelby, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of the late Willie Moore and the late Julie Mae Smith Moore.

Janice was educated by the Cleveland County School system.  She was a 1978 graduate of King Mountain High School. 

Janice loved her family.  She was a comedian at heart that would tell it how it is “Straightforward.”

In addition to her parents, Janice was preceded in death by grandmothers; Annie Mae Smith and  Alice Davis, her grandfather; Sam Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters;  Shaunta Snowten (Nathaniel), Latoya Hopper (Gary), Lakeshia Gemes (Travis), Lataya Borders, her sons;  Jaurquise Whiteside, Decarlos White,  a sister; Dorothy Gamble, brothers; Willie Moore, Duddy “Linwood” Moore (Lucille), Harris Lee Moore, Jerry Moore (Carol), Clarence Moore, her aunts; Faye Spriggs, Pearl Watson, Betty Smith, Ethel Mae Guinn, Geraldine Moore,  Martha Odum, Mary Ann Young, Alice White,  an uncle; David Smith, grandchildren;  Kahlil Hopper, Tatiyana Hopper, Nehemiah Hopper, Traveyana Gemes, Jahova Gemes, Lazaraha Gemes, Jevonni Johnson, Messiah Wiggins, David Wilson, Jr. Amariona Webber, Noah Davis, and a host of other relatives, family and friends.

Funeral: Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 2pm at Mt Olive Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC. The family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service.

Burial: Church Cemetery
