James Frank Good

Gaffney - The beautiful life of Mr. James Frank Good, fondly known as “Sweetie” came to a close on Wednesday, October 17, 2018.
 
He was the son of the late Ernest Good and the late Vivian Jefferies Good.  He was born September 4, 1942 in Cherokee County.  
 
He accepted Christ at an early age at New Mount Zion Baptist Church.  He was joined in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Patricia Ann Bonner on February 28, 1966 in Cherokee County “which became his “Sweetie” for 52 years”.  
 
James served in the United States Army.  He was a Welder for Hoechst Celanese Corporation for 35 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the New Mount Zion Baptist Church where he was a member of the Usher Board and worked with the Men’s Conference.  James loved being outdoors where he worked in his yard and  garden.  He enjoyed fishing and most of all deer hunting. He admired his trophies earned from hunting deer and fishing. He also enjoyed bowling. Most of all, he loved his family dearly and he will be  truly missed by all.
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters; Fannie Littlejohn, Minnie Smith, and Hattie Good, two brothers; William C. Good and Thomas Good.
 
Left to cherish fond memories; his loving wife Patricia Good of the home, two brothers; Peter C. Good of Gaffney, South Carolina, Jerry Shippy of Atlanta, Georgia, one sister; Dawn Simpson of Fayetteville, North Carolina, two aunts; Mrs. Alberta Rodgers, Mrs. Christine Camp both of Gaffney, South Carolina, two sister-in-laws; Virginia Good (Peter) Lillie C. Bonner, two brother-in-laws; Clarence Bonner of Gaffney, South Carolina, John L. Bonner of New York, New York, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  
 
 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday October 24, 2018 at 2:00 pm visitation 1:30 pm at New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church

Burial in the Mount Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery Gaffney, South Carolina
