Eddie Lee Early

Shelby - Eddie Lee Early, age 66, of Shelby, peacefully transitioned this life on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Atrium Health of Cleveland County.  He was the son of the late Reverend Eugene Early and Evangelist Willie Mae Early.

He was preceded in death by Reverend Eugene Early, Sr., Evangelist Willie Mae Early, Evangelist Earlene N. Walls, Minister Willis G. Early, grandson; Jeric J. Early.

Eddie was a graduate of Burns High School.  After graduation, he worked for Cleveland Regional Medical Center and Cleveland Livestock.  He served 2 years in the United States Army.  He enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, hunting, and raising livestock.  The light in his eye was his daughter “Chin.”

Those who remain to cherish his fond memories, his daughter; Chincier “Chin” Wilson (Kenneth) of Shelby, North Carolina, his sister, Dorothy Hopper (Daniel), brother; Eugene Early, Jr., (Angelia), of Grover, North Carolina, Larry D. Early, a friend; Kay, sister-in-law; Nina Early of Shelby, North Carolina, grandchildren; Jazzy Nicole Early, Tylon M. Early, Kenneth D. Wilson, great-grandchildren;  Mina, and Elijah, special friends; Tamaika “Coffee” Nance and M & M, special sons; Chuckie Lee Craig, the late Jason Craig, special daughter; Clay Tuff and a host of Aunts, Uncles, and friends.

Funeral Service: Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:30 pm  at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends 30mins prior to the service.   

The family will meet at the home of his daughter 2108 Elizabeth Ave Shelby.
