God in his infinite wisdom, called from our midst our loved one, Charles Edward Richardson to eternal rest on August 15,2019.

Charles was born on November 16,1941 in Youngsville, North Carolina., to the late Foster and Mamie Richardson.  At an early age, Charles joined Union Grove Baptist Church in Youngsville, North Carolina. He was educated in the Franklin County School System.

When Charles was in his twenties, he moved to Washington D.C. and started his career at The Washington Gas Company. He met and married the joy of his life, Lorraine Camp. To that union one son, Charles Jr. was born.  In the year 2000, Charles retired and moved to Gaffney, South Carolina. He joined The Mikes Creek Baptist Church.

Charles was funny and loved to make people laugh. His favorite pastime was watching The Washington Redskins.

In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Lorraine Camp Richardson, a son; Charles E. Richardson, Jr., sisters; Nellie Hicks, Mildred Yarbough, and his brothers James Richardson, and Phillips Richardson.

He leaves to cherish fond memories three sisters, Mary Digging, Anna Jones (Lawrence), Melinda Vaughan (George) his three brothers, William (Gertrude), Douglas Richardson, Henry Richardson, and  a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
