Alban Arthur Callender

Alban Arthur Callender, 78,son of Alban and Itha  Callender,  was born on October 7, 1940 in Brooklyn, NY and passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Cherokee Medical Center in Gaffney, SC  following a brief illness.

He leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Marlene (Kramer) Callender, his son  Lelonce Callender and his wife Claudia Callender and their children, Ashanti Carpenter (and husband Paul) Xaria and Xavier Callender; his daughter Natalie Callender-Bolden and her companion Dennis Daniels, Jr. and her children Iman, Zoe, Naomi and Elijah Bolden; his daughter Anitra Stark and her children Kevin Callender, Dominique Johnson and great-granddaughter Taylor Smith and his son Dale Callender and his companion, Tara Martin. Of his sister Marcia Clarke, Arthur is survived by her daughters Monique Clarke and Michelle Sutton and her daughter Candace Sutton.  Arthur was the Brother-in-Law of Malcolm and Jackie Kramer, William and Victoria Aguiton, Bruce and Hazel Kramer and Phillip and Ann Kramer. He also leaves behind many friends in both the US and in Trinidad.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Saturday, January 19,2019 at the chapel of First Baptist Church of Gaffney.
