Kings Mountain - Shirley Williams, 62, peacefully transitioned from this earthly life on October 22, 2022, at Atrium Health-Cleveland in Shelby, North Carolina. She was born December 30th, 1959, to Edward Walker Williams, Sr. and Preciolla Whitworth Williams in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
Shirley attended West Lincoln High School in Lincolnton, North Carolina. She was employed with Yelton Healthcare as the head Dietary Aide for eight years. Shirley was a great mother to her children. She enjoyed cooking, playing card, and watching TV. She accepted Christ at a young age and attended Walls Memorial Baptist Church.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, Edward Walker Williams, Sr., Preciolla W. Williams, a brother, Edward Walker Williams, Jr., sister, Becky Sue Owens, and a special friend, Michael Williams.
Cherished memories of Shirley are left in the hearts of her daughters: Kristy Nicole Williams, Shelly Ann Williams, Cindy R. Williams; grandchildren, Quante’ Williams, Devajae Leach, Westley Barnes, Jr., Jalijah Clinton, Elijah Clinton, Amir Clinton, Dazreal Williams, Myasia Mason, Tela Williams, Aveiyon Rice, Zoelaya Rice; great-granddaughter, Ivyana Johnson, great-grandson, Zahmir Jaquez Leach; sisters, Mary Kathleen Williams Wilson, Eddy Williams, Debbie (Collin) Demby Hope Williams, all of Charlotte, NC, Crystal Williams of Asheville, NC; brothers, Eddie Carl Williams, Terry (Pam) Hunt of Charlotte, NC; uncle, Charles Lattimore of Cherryville, NC; special daughters, Monica Allen, Christy Banks, Tessica Ussery, special nieces, Latarsha Surratt and Shekesha, a special nephew, Franshun Surratt and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service: Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 2:30pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel ; the family will receive friends 30 mins prior to the service.
