John Alexander Walker

Shelby - John Alexander Walker age 38  was born on January 22, 1983, in Shelby, NC to the late Mary Walker and Roger Banks. He peacefully transitioned from this life on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Novant Presbyterian Medical Center Charlotte. 

He received his High School Diploma from Shelby High in 2002 and attended Strayer University. He worked at Patel’s Laundry Mat for many years until his health declined.

John had a passion for Professional Wrestling and made sure that he never missed a night wrestling was going to be on television. He often called relatives to keep them up to date on the events of his favorite wrestlers. He also loved the movies and walking around his favorite flea market located in East Charlotte. Admired greatly by his friends and family for his humility and charity. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.

John was preceded in death by his father, Roger, and his mother, Mary. He is survived by his brother David, Aunt Deloris Ross, Uncles Charles, and  Leroy  Banks several cousins, nieces, and a nephew.  

Public Viewing: Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 4pm until 6pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley, Jr. Memorial Chapel

Funeral Service: Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 1pm at Genesis Funeral Services & Chapel in the Otis Mobley Jr  Memorial Chapel.
