Eugene Paul Beattie Jr

Clover – Eugene Paul Beattie Jr. age 86 of Clover, SC went home to be with the Lord Thursday morning March 23, 2023. He was the son of the late Eugene Paul and Ethel Beattie, Sr. Paul, was a member of Parkwood Baptist Church of Gastonia, NC. He was a loving husband to his late wife Mildred Beattie for 57 wonderful years. Surviving is his loving daughter Krista Beattie. Also surviving is his sister Doris Beattie Summey and brother-in-law Rev. James Lester Summey of Raleigh, NC. A long with his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Neal Beattie of Asheville, NC. Paul attended Wake Forest University of Winston Salem, NC and was a graduate of Belmont Abbey College of Belmont, NC. He worked for Ryerson Steel Company of Charlotte, NC as an inside sales representative until he established his own business, Metal Marketing South, Inc in 1994. He represented multiple metal companies and traveled throughout the southeastern states until he retired.

To have known Paul was to know a gentle, kind and fair-minded person. A truly dedicated and loving husband and wonderful father.

A future Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held for family and friends at a later date.
