Pauline Mask

Shelby- Pauline Mask, age 85 of 211 Ross Grove Rd. Shelby, departed this life on September 20, 2015 at Hospice-Wendover, Shelby. She was born on May 15, 1930 in Cleveland County to the late Coy and Minnie Hick Black.

Pauline was known as a quiet peaceful person who love children and was a foster parent for many years. She was a good home maker who loved to cook and bake cakes, until her health started failing. She attended Green Bethel, Boiling Springs, NC and was a long time residence of Providence RI. After returning back to Cleveland County; she reunited with Eskridge Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Mask; sister, Diane Lee; brothers, Coy Black Jr. and Bud Hicks; son-in-law, Hubert Wall and brother-in-law, Billy Joe Lee.

She is survived by four children, Marie Lawrence (Frank) of the home, Bridgette Mask and Daniel Mask of Providence RI, Andre Mask of Franklin, NC., one sister, Jan Culbreth (James) of Shelby, 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, Special brother-in-law, James Mask. Host of nieces, nephews, and relatives

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service at the church and at other times at the home of her daugher, Frank & Marie Lawrence at 211 Ross Grove Rd.,Shelby

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Thursday, September 24, 2015 at Eskridge Grove Baptist Church

Burial will take place at the church cemetery
