Shelby - Nycia Lakai Copes age 16 of 1105 Mark Dr. Shelby, NC; departed this life on Saturday March 19, 2016 at CMC Shelby.
Funeral services will be Friday March , 25, 2016 at 2:30 pm visitation 30 mins prior to service at Lawndale First Baptist Church, Pastor Billy D. Houze officiating, Pastor Strickland Maddox words of Comfort.

Sunrise……. Nycia Copes was born in East Meadow, New York on September 22, 1999 to the late Renee Copes and Milton Blaylock. Nycia was a very kind person; she always thought of others first. She especially loved babies. Her hobbies were working with electronics and taking apart and putting phones back together. Nycia enjoyed placing flowers on the graves of family members and others.

Sunset……...Nycia peacefully transitioned on March 19,2016 at Carolinas Healthcare System– Cleveland in Shelby, North Carolina. She was preceded in death in addition to her mother, Renee Copes; maternal grandfather, Gary Copes and paternal grandmother, Connie Blaylock.

Those who Remain…...Nycia leaves to cherish her memory in addition to her father, Milton Blaylock; her sisters, Nyree Greenhill, Sanya Blaylock, Cheymonia Slater, Kylanni Blaylock and Naomi Caldwood; her brothers, Milton Blaylock, Jr. and Jaquore Blaylock; her grandmother, Barbara Hector Lynch; her grandfather, Arthur Blaylock; her great-aunt, Vernie Hector; her aunt, Kamilah Richburg and a host of Copes, Wrays, Blaylocks and other relatives and friends.
