Matthew Hush

Lawndale-Matthew Hush, age 76 of 2745 Philadelphia Rd., Lawndale, NC, passed away on May 28, 2016 at his residence.

The family will be receiving friends 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at Hopewell Baptist Church

Burial will take place at the church cemetery

Sunrise…Mr. Matthew Hush, age 76, was born January 4, 1940 in Lincoln County, North Carolina. He was the loving son of the late June Hush and Estelle Jolly Hush.  

  Sunset…. On Saturday, May, 28, 2016 , Matthew peacefully transitioned at his residence in Lawndale, NC. Matthew loved to dress well and in some of his finest suits, military style creases and matching from his hat to his shoes. When he stepped out to present himself , he would be sharp as a tack topped off with a smile. Matthew was preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Thelma Mae (Tammy) Williamson Hush; a daughter, Sarah Loutisha Williamson Brown; a brother, James Howard Hush; a sister, Marylee Hush; a stepmother, Edda Mae Hush and a great-grandchild, Cencer Glover.                                                                                                                  

  Those who remain….Left to cherish loving and lasting memories; a son, Mackey Lee Hush; five grandchildren, Yvonne Williamson, Marlon Williamson( Angela Lynn), Twanna Williams, and Markee Linder; seven great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren;  a brother, Michael (Lola) Surratt; two aunts, Florine Hopper and Janie Mae Famble, and a host of  nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Matthew Hush was a great, kind-hearted man and didn't turn nobody down; he would give you the shirt off his back. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. His family will miss him dearly, but will never forget him for Mr. Matthew Hush, you are just a memory away.
