Shelby- Mary Lois Ellis, age 90, of 1325 Concord St., Shelby, departed this life on September 22, 2015 at her residence.

Predeceased by husband-John Dexter Ellis Jr., son-Rodney Ellis, grandson-Toby Brown Jr., granddaughters-Tammy Ellis, Monica Ellis, great-grandson-George Cooper III, daughter-in-law-Ingrid Ellis, parents-Jonas and Elizabeth “Lizzie” Huddleston, brothers-Homer K. Huddleston, William Huddleston, Jonas Huddleston Jr., Arlin Huddleston, Jesse Huddleston, Glen H. Smith, Shadrack Smith, Necota Smith, Evens Beam, sisters-Nocomis Hopper, Patria Ross, Lyda Sue McCluney.

Survived by son-Ronald Ellis, daughters-Gwendolyn Whittington(Joseph), Brenda Ellis-Riddick, Dawna Covington, Wanda Banks(Dallas), Renee Withrow(Eric), brother-James Beam, sisters- Claudine Maddox(James), Christine Harrill, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, many cherished friends.

The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the funeral service at the church and at other times at the home of Eric & Renee Withrow, 2326 China Ave., Shelby.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Shoal Creek Bapt. Church.

Burial will be held at the church cemetery.
