Janice and I were classmates at Washington School (Stony Point Road, Shelby NC) and at Burns High School. I heard of her passing on facebook the day of her homegoing service. I was devastated and saddened. She was so sweet when we were growing up and in elementary school and was still a sweetie in high school. We lost contact after she went to Crest High School and I remained at Burns High School. But she was a beautiful person, inside and out, and I see she looked so much the same, peaceful, up to the day of her passing. I know you all will miss her dearly. By her calm appearance on her obituary, I can tell she remained a sweet and gentle lady throughout her life. May God's grace and mercy continue to be with each of you during your bereavement period and may joy return to you soon by keeping her memory alive throughout your lives. With Love to the Family of Janice Downs Strong, my friend! Sincerely, Veronica Ross Greene

Please accept my sincere regrets for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Revelation 21:4 says that God will wipe every tear from our eyes and death and pain will be no more. This is especially comforting since we know this scripture has to be referring to the earth because these things don't exist in heaven.
