Harry Lee Williams

Lawndale- Harry Lee Williams, age 59, of 128 Douglas St., Lawndale, NC departed this life on August 10, 2015, at Carolina Healthcare System- Cleveland, Shelby NC

He was born on Dec. 13, 1955, in Hickory, N.C., to the late Harold Lee Gordon and Etha Mae Whitworth. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his grandson Octavis Sentex Geter.
Harry was employed at Hickory Springs Manufacturing, where he was a dedicated worker for 39 years. He enjoyed fishing, cooking on the grill, spending time with family/friends and vacationing at the beach.

Left to cherish fond memories is his loving wife of 37 years Debra Byrd Williams; three daughters Tateisha Connor (Mike), Lateefah Byrd Diop, and Karmen Williams; grandchildren Shamiya Connor, Bianca Nanje, Lydia Burgin, Sanai-Marie Diop and Kasen Nanje; brothers Freddie “Chuckie” Williams, Charles Williams (Norma) of Ocean City, Md., Kenneth Ussery (Melinda) and Randy Ussery; sisters Lorene Haggins and Sylvia Ussery; goddaughters Terry Fullenwider and Monque Woods; a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws and special friends.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at First Baptist Lawndale.
Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
